Hydro Active Women's Challenge - Sefton Park, Liverpool

Tegla Loroupe of Kenya has won the second Liverpool Hydro Active Women’s Challenge in Sefton Park.

Loroupe’s winning time of 16min 32sec highlights the cool, blustery conditions as the time was 36sec down on her winning time last year.

The former marathon world record holder finished six seconds ahead of Sonia O’ Sullivan with Britain’s Tracey Morris taking third as more than 2000 women took part in the race.
