GB & NI Teams announced for Toronto Marathon

The British athletes have been selected to compete in the International Team Challenge which takes place at the Scotiabank Toronto Marathon on 24th September.

Jenny Clague of Liverpool Harriers was second British woman at the London Marathon behind Mara Yamauchi as she clocked 2hr 36min 10sec this year. Sue Harrison of Leamington C & AC also runs. She ran a PB of 2hr 36min 13sec in Hamburg in April.

Lining up on the men’s side will be Thames Hare and Hound John McFarlane who dipped under 2hr 20min with 2hr 19min 24sec at London this year and Richard Gardiner of Cardiff AAC who clocked 2hr 18min 41sec.

The competition is scored by adding the cumulative times of all four athletes.
