Why do I need to create a log-in to put my events on your
listing?
There are several important reasons for this. Having this
secure log in:
- enables
you to manage the details of your event that are published on line in a
secure manner
- means
you choose your username/password rather than us allocating one you may
not like/easily remember
- enables
you to easily manage your events after logging in
- allows you to give a separate contact details to those published on the website for
us to contact you if it is necessary (eg a direct phone number in rather than
the event hotline)
- prevents
bogus events being put on our listings
Do I need a separate log-on for each event I operate? No, once you have a log in you can use this for all your
events. You can add new events using your existing log-on. You can choose to
use a separate log-in if you prefer to do so though.
Why do you want the postcode for the start of my race? This enables us to link to a map of how to get to the start.
Entrants get there more easily and you don’t have to answer lots of queries
about directions. So don’t put your home postcode in!
I’ve input details for my event but need to amend them. What
can I do? You can log in and change details at any time.
- Go
to the events section
- Click
on the ‘Manage events’ link
- Log
in using your username and password
- Select the event you wish to edit
- Click
on the ‘Edit race details’ button and make the
necessary changes
Can any one else alter the details for my event? No. Only your log-in name and password can be used to alter
the details. Never give your log-in details to anyone unless you are happy for
them to be able to access all the administration areas for your event! If you
think there has been a problem with security contact us immediately.
I’ve updated the details but I am getting an error message. The error message should tell you what the problem is – eg
the email address is not a legitimate one. If it does not specify an error the
most common causes of the problem are:
- The
name of the event being too long
- The
address of the event being too long
How do I set the entry fees for my event?
- Go
to the events section
- Click
on the ‘Manage events’ link
- Log
in using your username and password
- Click
on the ‘Edit details’ button of the event you wish to set the entry fees
for
- Scroll down to alter the fees
You can add different entry fees – such as

How do I set up online entry for my event? Select 'edit race details' as above. Having set the entry fees choose the fees you wish scroll to the bottom of the details and go through to the online entry section.
Note:
The entrant will have to give their date of birth, address, contact
details and agree to a standard disclaimer as part of their entry.
Once you have set up you online entry you can contact us to
arrange how and when the online entry money will be transferred to the
appropriate account.
What are the fees for online entry? For races where the entry fee is £10 or less our commission
is £1. If the entry fee is £20 or less our commission is £1.50. Contact us if
you have an event with an entry fee above £20.
please click here for a spreadsheet of current entry fees (.xls)
Who pays the charge for online entry? You can decide whether:
- to bear
this charge as the organiser (due to reduced paperwork, no banking
charges on cheques etc)
- to
pass it on to the entrant (who saves on postal costs/form filling etc)
Just tick the appropriate box in the online entry fee set up section.
I have a problem I still can’t solve. What should I do? Email events@sports-fitness.com.
We will do our best to help you
